I didn’t realize you were visiting Port Townsend, my hometown! I’m so excited to hear that you visited that beautiful part of Washington and hooked up with the awesome folks at the Marine Science Center. That’s the place where my love for the ocean started! This is awesome, I just found out about it on the Living Without Plastic Blog. I live in Oregon–wish I could have gone to hear your talk!

I’m so overwhelmed lately…as soon as I found out about all the plastic pollution in the ocean, about a month ago, I have been trying hard to reduce the use of plastic in my family’s life, but it is so difficult. I’ve come to realize that I will have to make most of what my family needs myself if I want to make a significant difference. It’s very hard!
